Sherman Avenue

Cramer Hill, River Road to the Railroad

Sherman Avenue

Sherman Avenue is a street that runs north and south between River Road and the railroad in Cramer Hill. Like many of the other north-south streets in that part of Camden, it was laid out in the 1890s and named after Civil War hero General William Tecumseh Sherman. Just about all of the north-south streets in that part of Camden are named for U.S. Presidents or military heroes.
