Eleventh Street ran north, from Market Street all the way through to Pearl Street. Over time North 11th Street was erased, block by block, until all that remains is a segment between Penn and Linden Streets, with six occupied rowhomes.
South 11th Street is somewhat of an artificial construct, being the name given to the connecting road that runs south from Federal Street then elbows east and north, carrying it over the Admiral Wilson Boulevard and terminating at Federal Street north of the Cooper River. At one time it ran underneath the railroad tracks to the front of the National Guard Armory which became Camden's Public Works building. There are no and to my knowledge have never been any South 11th Street addresses.

Meiler Tried for Selling Liquor to Minors

131 North 11th Street served as a bar and/or liquor store as early as 1883 until it was closed and razed.
A former volunteer fireman and at one time a member of the Camden Fire Department, Henry Frost's real avocation and to some extent occupation was as a dog fighter. His bulldog, “Whitey,” won numerous fights and a good deal of money for Henry Frost, both in Camden and in other large cities in the northeast. In the spring of 1883 the dog was stolen, and Henry Frost began drinking to excess. As a former member of the Weccacoe Fire Company No. 2, Henry Frost realized a bit of money when their old firehouse at 503 Benson Street was sold in 1883. With the money he received he opened a small saloon at North 11th and Carpenter Streets, where he died on December 28, 1883. Henry Frost was survived by his wife Sarah, who operated the business for about a year, appearing in the 1884–1885 City Directory as “Frost Sarah, liquors, 11th and Carpenter.” She sold the business to John U. Meiler.
John Miller [Meiler], a saloon keeper, of Eleventh and Carpenter streets, was tried and convicted before Mayor Pintt yesterday of selling liquor to minors. In default of $50 fine and costs, he was committed to the city jail for ten days. See also: Jesse W. Pratt.

Latest Haul Made by the Law and Order League in Camden
There was another round-up of Camden county liquor dealers yesterday. Complaints were made against fourteen persons by George B. M. Adams, an agent of the Law and Order League.
Those for whom warrants were issued are: Walter S. Hubbs and wife, charged with running a speak-easy in Pensauken township; John Keefe, of Fogarty avenue and Carman street; Thomas Farnham, Ninth and Lawrence streets; John Daly, 321 North Seventh street; William Gallagher, 106 Kaighn avenue; Charles E. Bakley, 2318 Federal street; John H. Carroll, Third and Cherry streets; John H. Jones, 517 North Front street; George W. Hoskins, 505 Main street; William Convery, Eleventh and Carpenter streets; John Opfer, Front and Pearl streets; Joan Dugan, Front and Pearl streets; Michael J. Walsh, 503 Federal street.
All entered bail before Justice Schultz for hearings to-day except Opfer, Gallagher and Walsh. The latter was locked up and the other two sent word they would appear this morning. The complaints will at once be submitted to the grand jury.

John Lester Dyer
John Lester Dyer, 48, pensioned fireman, died yesterday in West Jersey Hospital after an illness of several years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the home, 139 North Eleventh street. Burial will be private. Mr. Dyer, attached to headquarters company before his retirement about two years ago, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Ironfield Dyer, and several children.
Louis Ferrell, a carpenter, of 142 North Eleventh street, Camden, fell a distance of twenty feet while at work at the new Sixth Regiment Armory yesterday. He was treated for a broken heel at the Cooper Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Schultz, 67, wife of Charles Schultz, a retired Camden city fireman and mother of William Schultz, a city policeman, will be held Thursday, 2 p. m., at the home of her sister, Mrs. Charles Ziegler, 163 Wiggan street, Mahanoy City, Pa.
Mrs. Schultz died Sunday at her home, 214 North Eleventh street. Another son surviving is Charles Schultz, Jr. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery at Mahanoy City.

Man Jailed as Gambler After Fight in House
Arrested on a warrant charging he permitted gambling in his home, William Lloyd, 38, 756 Pennsylvania avenue, was fined $25 in police court yesterday.
Lloyd's arrest followed a hearing the previous day, when Robert Lee, 29, 226 North Eleventh street, was sentenced to two months in the county jail because he struck Charles Scott, 20 South Eighth street, on the head with a meat cleaver, after an argument over a gambling game at Lloyd's home.

Snatched Purse, Jailed
George Gibbs, 39, 311 North Eleventh street, was sentenced to thirty days in the county jail yesterday when accused of stealing a purse from Mrs. Susie Lovett, Penn street near Tenth, after attending a party at her home.
Mrs. Lovett said she did not wish to press the charge, but Judge Bertman refused to entertain the request.

Masonic Temple, 761 Walnut st., will be scene of a wedding Saturday at 5 p. m. when Joseph Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson, of 313 N. 11th st., weds Miss Shirley Ann Kee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kee, of 2022-A S. 8th st.
The Rev. Lloyd A. Burrus, pastor of the Zion Baptist Church, will officiate the double ring ceremony. Miss Elizabeth Johnson and Shelton Lee, will serve as attendants.
Others in the wedding party will be Miss Anna Mitchell, Miss Barbara Cooper, and Mrs. Samuel Mitchell, bridesmaids; Noble Davis, Richard Lee and Lester Kee, brother of the bride-elect, ushers.
Three-year-old Aloma Butler will be flower girl, and Jerome Kee, brother of the bride, will serve as ring-bearer. Mrs. Alec Pritchett will sing “O Promise Me,” accompanied by Mrs. Doshua Lambert, who will also play the wedding march.
More than 100 guests will attend a reception following the ceremony. The couple will live at 1011 Penn st.
