Highland Avenue

Highland Avenue is in the East Camden section of Camden. It runs northeast from Marlton Avenue until it intersects with Myrtle Avenue. It serves as a border street with Pennsauken, with all homes on the northwest side of Highland Avenue being in Camden, while all lying on the southeast side are in Pennsauken.

ERNEST C. ABELSON SR.

Ernest C. Abelson Sr., 72, of 3721 Highland ave., a retired toolmaker, died Saturday in West Jersey Hospital. A former Providence, R.I., resident, he lived in Camden eight years.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Ernest C. Jr., at home, and a sister, Mrs. Mae Crocker of Pawtucket, R.I.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Bradley Funeral Home, 3203 Federal st., where friends may call tonight. Burial will be in Bethel Memorial Park, Pennsauken.
