Community Memories
I grew up in 1457 Belleview Ave. My grandparents James and Beatrice Harris owned there from 1963 until around 2000. I don’t have pictures available but the ones I see on the web page bring back great memories.

I worked for Albert Berul at his store for 4 years while in college and knew Wally and of course Mr. & Mrs. Berul very well. I am still in contact with Larry (Berul) who was in my High School graduating class of 1952. The synagogue (Beth El) was across the street from my house on Belleview Avenue. Later an Orthodox synagogue was built on the lot right behind my house on Kaighns Avenue. I was in the middle of the Conservatives and Orthodox. One picture with Leslie Wolff is really great as he lived 3 doors up from me and the rest of the kids were in my neighborhood but all younger. Barbara Keiser married a guy from my graduating class named Friedman. Barbara’s father was a Doctor.

Liesinger was driving a car which was being repaired at his father’s garage, and according to the testimony at the hearing, crossed the highway so slowly that Gondolf crashed into the Liesinger car, both landing on an embankment. Liesinger was confined to the hospital for six weeks as a result of the accident.
