Camden Shipyards

Being a waterfront town, Camden has a long and glorious history when it comes to shipbuilding. Camden had at least three shipyards that achieved worldwide fame. John H. Dialogue’s shipyard was renowned for its tugboats, the Mathis shipyard for yachts, and of course New York Shipbuilding Corporation for naval vessels of all types, as well as commercial vessels.
