North Street
North Street is a small street in North Camden, that ran from Beach Street to Front Street, between York and Erie Streets, just west of Point Street. It now runs from Delaware Avenue to Front Street.
In 1947 there were thirteen houses on the north side, and one on the south side of the street. Today only three houses stand, numbers 39, 41, and 43 North Street.

2 Get 30-Day Terms for Stealing Coal

Two men were sentenced to 20 days each in police court yesterday on charges of stealing coal from the Cooper Point yards of the Pennsylvania railroad.
The men who gave their names as Lorenzo Taggart, 43, no home, Frank Mitchell, 27, of 49 North street, were arrested by Detectives Sergeant John Snyder and George Baitzel, of the railroad police department. The men said they were preparing to sell the coal.
William Antinuk, 13, of 682 Ferry avenue, is being held pending investigation of the theft of six coils of copper wire from a freight car on the Pennsylvania—Reading Seashore lines, near Van Hook street.
George Smith, a railroad detective, said he captured the boy as two companions fled from the car. Smith said the boy related that the loot was sold to a South Camden man whom the police are seeking.

RIVER GIVES UP ALBERT MILLER
Workmen employed at the plant of the Camden Shipbuilding Company in North Camden during the lunch hour at noon to-day discovered the body of a man fast in the pilings at the wharf after the tide had gone out. Coroner Bentley was summoned and after searching the clothing of the man he found a note book containing the name and address of Albert Miller, 51 North street, a small street off Cooper Point. Coroner Bentley ordered the body removed to the morgue to await identification by the family.
Miller was employed with the Vaughn Pile Driving firm of North Camden, and has been missing for three days. His boat was found drifting in the river three days ago. He was an expert boatman and how he came to meet his death by drowning is a mystery. No mark of foul play were found on his body by Coroner Bentley and he gave a certificate of death by drowning.
MILLER—Drowned on July 6th, 1913, Albert W. Miller, husband of Rebecca Miller (nee Smith), aged 67 years. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral services on Wednesday, July 9th, at 2 o’clock, at his late residence, No. 51 North St., Camden. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.

The attached picture is of my grandfather Robert Richard Rowan Sr., the son of Madeline H. Rittenhouse, with his co-worker and friend Penny at 6th and Mt. Vernon. Robert Rowan was born August 2nd 1913 and died April 21st 1978. He lived at 51 North Street, around the corner from the John Rittenhouse store at 941 Point Street.

This is my father Ronald Roy Rowan (August 17th, 1940–December 28th, 2004). This is when he was 18 months old. The next he is standing in front of 51 North Street. The next he is standing in the back yard with a pool cue his brother brought back for him from Korea. The last photo is 1957 going into the Marines.

KILROY.—Died on February 24, 1905, Charles, husband of Anna M. Kilroy and son of Patrick and the late Fannie Kilroy, in his 33d year. The relatives and friends of the family, also Eyota Tribe, No. 105, Improved Order of Red Men, are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday afternoon, at 1 o’clock, from his late residence, 95 North street, Camden. Remains may be viewed on Monday evening. Interment private at New Camden Cemetery.
