Col. Frank K. Hyatt, president and commandant of Pennsylvania Military College, has announced three appointments to cadets in Camden and vicinity for the school year which opens Sept. 23.
Theodore Locke, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Locke, 204 West Browning road, has been appointed adjutant. He is a senior taking the engineering science course.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the funeral home of Gustav Roedel & Son, 804 North Twenty-seventh street, for Mrs. Katherine Bennett, 90, of 2806 Garfield avenue, who died Sunday. Mrs. Bennett, a resident of East Camden for many years, was the widow of Abraham Bennett.
Camden Man and Son Stricken by Polio

A Camden man and son were the first polio victims for 1955, according to Municipal Hospital officials.
Walter Mott Sr., 41, and his son, Walter Jr., 18, of 2809 Garfield ave., were admitted to the hospital Friday and their cases were diagnosed Saturday. Their condition is described as good. The father is a mechanic for the Public Service Interstate Transportation Co. His son is a high school pupil.

Sergeant George H. Simpson and his family, including Joseph G. Simpson, resided at 2821 Garfield Avenue during the 1940s and 1950s.

Robert E. Davenport of the Camden Fire Department grew up at 2831 Garfield Avenue, where the Davenport family resided from 1918 to 1977.

HAUSER — On the evening of October 18, 1902. Elizabeth Hauser, nee Jaeger, beloved wife of Gottlob Hauser, aged 49 years 10 months and 21 days. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services, on Wednesday morning, October 22, at 10 o’clock, at the family residence, 2839 Garfield avenue, East Camden, N. J. Interment private at Bethel Cemetery. Remains may be viewed Tuesday evening.
