Introduction

The Democrat Club has occupied 1009 Ferry Avenue since 1947, and most likely was there a few years prior to that. At South 10th Street and Ferry Avenue, it has been an institution in the Centerville neighborhood for decades.

When the liquor license was up for renewal in 1967, the officers were as follows:
