TIM WATTS grew up in Camden’s Parkside neighborhood, first at 1989 Park Boulevard and later in the 1500 block of Baird Boulevard.

The son of Rev. H.H. Watts, a Baptist minister, Tim Watts attended college at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia, and then entered the seminary there. An internship at Richmond’s WRVQ led to a job offer and he has worked in broadcasting since then.

Tim Watts moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1978 and as of July 2006 is the General Manager of WWIN 85.7 FM in that city.

Tim Watts was born in Camden, N.J. The son of a Baptist Minister and a housewife. He has 4 brothers and a sister.

Tim wanted to be an airline pilot but at 6’5” he was too tall. He did go on to earn his pilots license and flies on weekends.

Tim earned his college degree from Virginia Union University in Richmond. He then attended the Seminary at Virginia Union University. It was because of his work as an intern at a local radio station, WRVQ, he was offered a job. It was there he started on his radio journey.

Tim moved to Baltimore in 1978 and while he was building his reputation on the radio, he worked as an entertainment reporter for the CBS affiliate and the NBC affiliate. He never lost his love for radio and has been entertaining audiences ever since with his musical knowledge and wit.

Tim currently can be heard on Magic 95.9 (WWIN-FM) everyday from 3pm to 7pm. He is the number 1 rated personality for adult African Americans in Baltimore, Md. He has also been the Program Director of this Station since 2000.
