Robinson Place

Camden Street

Introduction

Robinson Place ran south from 1010 Walnut Street, on the site of the old UMDNJ Ambulance garage off of Mt. Ephraim Avenue. Sanborn maps from 1891 and 1906 show an unnamed street with four frame dwellings running south from 1010 Walnut Street, which for many years, was a saloon. The homes appear to have been gone by the time the first reverse city directory was published, in 1923. Robinson Place was still listed in the 1947 City Directory.
