Porter Road runs from 938 Trent Road south to Niagara Road, east of Tuckahoe Road, in Fairview. Porter Road is named after Admiral David Dixon Porter, hero of the Civil War.

Reading R. R. Conductor Is Run Down by Truck

READING R. R. CONDUCTOR IS RUN DOWN BY TRUCK
Struck by a truck while he was turning a railroad switch at Delaware avenue and Noble street, Philadelphia, William Hagen, 33, of 3035 Porter Row, Camden, is in a serious condition at the Northern Liberties Hospital.
Hagen, a conductor employed by the Reading Railroad, alighted from a train at 6 a.m. today and started to turn the switch in the street. He was struck by a truck driven by Arthur Seigle, Germantown avenue and Clearfield street, who was arrested after taking the injured man to the hospital. Seigle told the police he did not see the conductor. The latter has internal injuries, a fractured right shoulder and numerous cuts and bruises.
Miss Loveland was stricken shortly after graduating and died Tuesday. She was the daughter of Allen M., and Mary E. Loveland. She also is survived by seven sisters and a brother. Burial will be in Broad Street Cemetery, Burlington. Members of her graduating class will be pallbearers.
