Introduction
MacArthur Drive is in the Morgan Village section of Camden, part of a post-World War II housing development where all of the streets, with exception of Lakeshore Drive and South 12th Street, were named after generals and admirals who commanded U.S. forces during the war. MacArthur Drive runs from Morgan Street in a generally eastward direction until it ends at Lakeshore Drive, with Arnold Street, South 12th Street, Patton Street, Denfield Street, and Wainwright Street intersecting along the way. Only South 12th Street crosses through, going on to its terminus at Lakeshore Drive.
MacArthur Drive was named in honor of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur.

Mrs. Bertha Rapelye, 84, of 1080 MacArthur Drive, died yesterday in West Jersey Hospital.
She is survived by a brother, Raymond C. Wilson of Broomall, Pa.
Services and burial will be in Meriden, Conn. Friends may call tomorrow night at the Myrtetus Funeral Home, 1530 Collings Road.
