Introduction
Fulton Place lay between Linden and Pearl Street in North Camden. The street, which only had homes on its north side, ran for one block and originally was from North 5th to North 6th Street. When the Delaware River Bridge was built in the early 1920s the first five homes on Fulton Place were taken to make way for the new construction. The triangular lot on the south side of Fulton Place, as seen in the map below, became the site for the bridge’s administration building, and later that of the Delaware River Port Authority.
There were homes on Fulton Place as late as 1957. Fulton Place disappeared altogether when the land was taken to make way for a parking lot for the Delaware River Port Authority headquarters.

The funeral of Charles W. Nowland, 71, who died Friday, will be held at his late home at 513 Fulton Place. Burial will be in New Camden Cemetery.

5 South Jersey Drivers Deprived of Licenses

Trenton, June 28.— Five South Jersey motorists were among 30 drivers in the state whose licenses were revoked by Commissioner William L. Dill today for intoxication.
Those who have been deprived of their permits are Robert M. Coffman, 541 Fulton place, and Marvin H. Guenther, 816 North Thirty-fourth street; both of Camden; William Santhany, Wildwood; Thomas Feeney, Hammonton, and George Lutlow, Egg Harbor City.
2 Policemen Hurt by Prisoners Here

Two policemen were injured early yesterday as a result of battles with alleged drunken prisoners at police headquarters.
Earl Wright, 30, of 535 Fulton place, suffered a fractured nose when Frank Wade, 35, of West and Mickle streets, struck him. Wright was treated at Cooper Hospital. He said the man, who had been arrested as drunk and disorderly, fell and when he tried to assist him to his feet he struck him.
Acting Desk Sergeant Frank Evans was kicked on an injured leg and was treated at Cooper Hospital. Thomas Golden, 57, of 636 Birch street, is said to have attacked Evans, whose leg was injured in a motorcycle accident a year ago. Evans and Lieut. George Ward subdued the prisoner and placed him in a cell.
