Introduction
Robert C. Jenkins was born in Pennsylvania of Irish parents around 1876. He went into the ministry in the early 1900s and served in Pennsylvania during the 1900s and early 1910s. He came to Camden as pastor of Second Presbyterian Church at South 4th and Benson Street in the late 1910s and early 1920s. He lived with his wife Mary and children Esther and Robert at 650 Washington Street. After leaving Camden, he went to Williamstown, New Jersey, and then back to Pennsylvania. He died of pneumonia in Yeadon, Pennsylvania on April 3, 1928.

Rev. Robert Jenkins, former pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, formerly located at Fourth and Benson streets, and later of the Williamstown Presbyterian Church, who died at his home in Yeadon, Pa., yesterday, will be buried Friday.
Services will take place at 2:30 p. m. at the Southwestern Presbyterian Church, Seventieth street and Buist avenue, Philadelphia, of which he was pastor, and interment will be in Arlington Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins was 45 years old, and is survived by his widow, Mary Lewis Jenkins, two children, Esther and Robert Jr., and his mother, Margaret A. Mr. Jenkins had been ill with pneumonia and his death is attributed to a sacrifice he made a month ago when he gave a pint of blood to a member of his congregation then in a hospital. This is believed to have weakened him.
