John F. “Scotty” Friedel

Vaudeville Comedian

Introduction

John F. “Scotty” Friedel was born in Baltimore, Maryland around 1888. He worked as a comedian on the Keith Vaudeville circuit for many years before retiring to Camden, New Jersey.

Friedel resided at 501 Beideman Avenue in Westfield Acres. He died on July 20, 1951.

Friends will meet Monday at 8 a.m. in the Inglesby and Son funeral home, Cove and Wyndam roads, Pennsauken, with high requiem Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Twenty-ninth street and Westfield avenue. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening.
