Introduction
George B. Glover was appointed to the Camden Fire Department to on April 19, 1871 replace Theodore A. Zimmerman as an extra man with Engine Company 2, who was removed from service April 18, 1871. He had previously worked as a clerk, and was making his home at 611 Market Street when appointed to the Fire Department. He resigned from the Fire Department on May 21, 1871.
George B. Clover was born on April 16, 1849. He passed away on December 1, 1917 and was buried at Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery in Haddonfield, New Jersey.

George V. Glover, Charles Evans, Charles Daubman, John Hart and Stephen L. Thomas have been appointed by the Fire Commissioners to the positions of extra men, made vacant by resignations from the Paid Fire Department.
