One of many clubs and organizations that had its foundation in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church at South 10th and Liberty Streets in Camden, The Polish Athletic Association sponsored sports teams that participated in the many leagues in and around Camden. The Association also put on dances and other social events. |

A. A. TO HOLD PRE-LENTEN
DANCE The St. Joseph's Polish Athletic Association will hold its annual pre-Lenten dance on Monday night at the St. Joseph's Parish Hall, Tenth and Liberty Streets. Mary Jane and Art Mason, the "favorite couple" at the recent walkathon will give an exhibition dance. The association is considered one of the outstanding in South Jersey sport circles and its basketball team recently won the first half championship of the Suburban League. Officers of the organization are: Henry Ciechanowski, president, one of the organizers; Jules Paleczny, vice president; Frank Wielinski, corresponding secretary; Joseph Borucki, financial secretary; Felix Hanaka, secretary, and Rev. Jean Hudzik, moderator. The dance committee comprises Joseph Scehowski, chairman; John Hajduk, Jules Paleczny, Steve Sorvicki, Steve Janowiak, Frank Jaskulski, Joseph Borucki, Stanley Babiarz and Edwin Hudzinski. Walt Leopold's Orchestra will play.
