Camden Streets - Holcaine Avenue

HOLCAINE AVENUE, also referred to as Holcaine Street, is a small street that runs from south from Webster Street to 420 Jackson Street. There were eight homes on Holcaine Avenue in 1924.

In September of 1932, Courier-Post reporter E. Allen Hughes wrote a three part series of articles about the small streets, alleys, courts and places of Camden, including Holcaine Avenue.

By 1947 there were only five As of 2011 there were four houses still standing on Holcaine Avenue, all occupied and apparently well kept.

	1608 Holcaine Avenue 1933 Thelma Roddy Camden Courier-Post Jun 26, 1933 MISS THELMA RODDY Camden girl, who represented the Walt Whitman Grocery Store., was runner-up in the beauty contest held at Atlantic, City- by the National Association of Retail Grocers. Miss Alice Mae Ayres, of Tyler, Texas, won the title of "Miss Grocery- World" and will compete in the Atlantic City Pageant, Sept. 5 to 9. Miss Roddy lives at 1608 Holcain Avenue.
