Introduction
Schoell’s Tavern operated at 949 North 25th Street sometime after 1966, and remained in operation for a few years after 1970. Thomas L. Schoell was the proprietor, and lived on premises, according to the 1970 New Jersey Bell telephone book.
Schoell’s Tavern changed hands and was known for many years as Crane’s Tavern. In the 1990s it became the Olde City Brewery Tavern. The Olde City Brewery Tavern is presently closed and the building is for sale as of September 2003.
