Gregory's Cafe

The bar at 1010–1012 North 24th Street in the Cramer Hill neighborhood has a long history. Around 1947, the address was home to Joe Wandy’s Chateau. By 1954 it had become Al’s Cafe, and by 1959 was known as Steve’s Cafe.

In the mid-1960s the bar became the Little Tavern, operated in part by Nicola Saccomanno. The Little Tavern remained at this address through 1979.

By 1982 the address housed Gregory’s Cafe. The bar closed around 1985, and the building was still standing as of September 2003 when the photographs below were taken.
