Sycamore Terrace

Sycamore Terrace was a one block street that ran from Chestnut Street south to Sycamore Street, east of South 2nd Street and west of Locust Street. There were 2 houses on Sycamore Terrace, originally numbered 1 and 2, and changed to 1116 and 1118. Sycamore Terrace was not in existence when the 1885 Sanborn Map was published. The two houses were built and occupied by 1890.

Both houses on Sycamore Terrace were still occupied in 1947. Sycamore Terrace was erased in the 1950s as part of an urban redevelopment project meant to provide land for industrial development in South Camden. This project took out every building west of Locust Street from Walnut Street to Kaighn Avenue.
