Colorado Road is in Fairview. It runs east from 1001 North Collings Road to 949 Monitor Road, and is the last street one can turn off of Collings Road before getting on to the I-676 expressway. The street is named after the battleship USS Colorado (BB-45), built by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation and launched in 1921.
Colorado Road was laid out sometime after the 1924 Camden City Directory was compiled. The street appears in the 1929 Directory, however, no houses were built as of that date. The twenty homes on Colorado Road were built sometime after 1929 and before 1947.

Corrective measures to eliminate flooding conditions in an alley in the rear of homes on Colorado rd. between Monitor and N. Collings rds. has been promised by the State Highway Department, Director of Public Works Abbott said today.
The alleyway at the base of an approach roadway to the Walt Whitman Bridge has been flooding to a depth of three to four inches during heavy rains and overflowed into basements of some of the homes.
