Introduction
Border Street, which was renamed Mt. Ephraim Avenue in the 2000s, was a small street that ran from Line Street and Haddon Avenue north along the railroad tracks, crossing Starr Avenue (which too had been renamed Mt. Ephraim Avenue, at some point between 1914 and 1946) and intersecting with Newton Avenue. In more recent times Border Street ended at Starr (now Mt. Ephraim) Avenue, which doglegged to the northeast to what is now 10th Street behind what is now the Transport of New Jersey bus maintenance garage complex. It is a very convenient shortcut for getting from South Camden to East Camden and Admiral Wilson Boulevard without having to go through downtown Camden.
