Pine Street Gay as Dog Returns

Ice Cream and Cake Ordered for ‘Boy’ Collie Found by Courier
Missing for more than two weeks the famous Pine street collie dog was returned to his little master and mistress last night. They are Alvin Koenig, 9 years old, 424 Pine street, and his sister Bertha, 11 years.
Today the children will hold a jubilee party in honor of ‘Boy,’ who started a two weeks’ search across the ‘dog world.’ The pet was sure glad to get home once more. After his long wander he had gone to 1002 Line street and took up his residence there. For three days he wandered the streets unable to find his way back home.
The woman living at the Line street address read in The Courier about the Koenig family that they were grieving for their lost canine friend. She telephoned immediately to the Koenig home to see if it was their dog.
Glad to Get Home
When the children saw ‘Boy’ they screamed with delight and threw their arms around their lost friend and hugged him almost to death.
‘Boy’ wagged his tail vigorously, which in dog language meant ‘I’m certainly glad to see you also.’
A nice chocolate cake has been baked and ice cream has been ordered for the party tonight. The dog is the talk of the neighborhood. When news of the return spread through Pine street, neighbors flocked about to the Koenig home and a real hand-clapping goodness reception was given ‘Boy.’
To show his appreciation ‘Boy’ sat up and begged and wagged his tail and did other tricks for his numerous friends who have returned to the Koenig home.
