Introduction
William A. Morrison was born around 1876 in Camden, New Jersey. He worked as a signalman on the Pennsylvania Railroad for 42 years, retiring in 1939.
Morrison was a longtime resident of 1158 Baring Street in South Camden. He was active in Sixth Ward politics and was a charter member of the Sixth Ward Democratic Club. He was also a member of SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in the 500 block of Spruce Street, and served as financial secretary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, AFL.
William A. Morrison died at his home on May 28, 1950. He was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Delaware Township (present-day Cherry Hill), New Jersey.

William A. Morrison, 74, of 1158 Baring street, died Sunday following a long illness. A longtime resident of Camden, Morrison was a retired Pennsylvania Railroad signalman. He had worked for the road 42 years when he retired in 1939 and was a former financial secretary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, AFL. For many years Mr. Morrison was active in Sixth ward politics. He was a charter member of the Sixth Ward Democratic Club. Surviving are his widow, Bertha M.; a son, James R.; three daughters, Mrs. Celia Guenther, Mrs. Robert Hunt, and Mrs. Marcella Gattland, and four grandchildren, all of Camden. Requiem high Mass will be sung Friday at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul R.C. Church, Spruce street near Broadway, at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill township. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday night.
