Stanley W. Danenhower

Private Stanley W. Danenhower was born on February 26, 1912, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Danenhower. Prior to his induction into the Army he was employed as a salesman for the Freihofer Baking Company. He lived at 2963 Congress Road in the Fairview section of Camden NJ, with his wife Catherine and daughter Barbara.

Upon joining the Army in February of 1944, Private Danenhower underwent training at Camp Wheeler, and was assigned to the 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. He was reported as missing in action on August 28, 1944. His body was recovered shortly thereafter. His death was reported in the October 23, 1944 edition of the Camden Courier-Post.

Private Danenhower was survived by his wife and daughter, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Danenhower, of 1268 Octagon Road, Camden NJ. His body was returned to New Jersey after the war and he was buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly NJ on July 8, 1948.
