Biography
Technician Fifth Class Samuel Joseph Price had lived at 18 Valley Road in Mount Ephraim, New Jersey prior to entering the Army. He was a graduate of Audubon High School, class of 1935. He had been in the Army four years, three of which were spent overseas, and saw service at Guadalcanal, Fiji, New Georgia, Munda, and Bougainville.
He was killed in action on February 9, 1945, on Luzon, Philippine Islands, at the age of 28. His death was reported in the March 14, 1945 edition of the Camden Courier-Post. He was survived by his parents, William K. and Anna Price, a brother, William L. of Westmont, and a sister, Mrs. Anna W. Faux of Westmont.

Services for T/5 Samuel J. Price will be held tomorrow at 10 a. m. in Foster’s funeral home, 20 White Horse pike, Audubon, with burial in Lakeview Memorial park.
Military rites will be conducted by the Mt. Ephraim VFW post.
