Biography

Private Ross C. Hunt was born on December 3, 1921 in Virginia to William and Marie Hunt. The family came to New Jersey in the early 1930s. By 1940 the Hunts lived at 933 Highland Boulevard in Gloucester City, New Jersey, where Ross resided with his parents, a brother William, sisters Marie and Irma, and other family members.

Ross Hunt enlisted in the United States Army shortly after the April 1940 census, prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor. He died on March 13, 1942 and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
