Introduction

Private First Class Rocco S. Mancuso was born in 1924 to Frank and May Mancuso. He was named for his paternal grandfather, Rocco Mancuso. He lived for most of his life in Camden, New Jersey, at 835 York Street in North Camden. His father was a machinist at a mill in Camden, and Rocco Mancuso worked as a machine operator in a factory prior to being inducted into the Army.

Rocco Mancuso was killed in action while serving in Italy on February 7, 1944.
