Raymond Stanley Fox
Introduction
Private First Class Raymond Stanley Fox was born in Clarion, Pennsylvania on December 26, 1926. He graduated from Consolidated High School there. After enlisting in the Marine Corps in Buffalo, New York on March 13, 1944, he trained in California. He was killed in action on Iwo Jima on February 24, 1945.
He was brought back to the United States in the spring of 1948, and buried at Beverly National Cemetery on May 11, 1948. He was survived by his mother, Mrs. James Campbell, of Camden, New Jersey, a brother, Leroy Fox, and four sisters, Velma, Thelma, Shirley, and Sandra Lee.
