Lieutenant Percival Norman Fenton Jr. was born in Collingswood, NJ about 1922 to P. Norman and Martha P. Sharp Fenton. His father was in the insurance business. A member of the United States Naval Academy Class of 1946, he received his wings at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, TX in 1949. Lieutenant Percival Norman Fenton Jr. was killed when the patrol bomber he was co-piloting crashed off Key West, FL on June 27, 1951. The entire crew of eight were lost. He was survived by his parents, wife Carolyn, and sons Steve and Percival Norman 3rd. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery on July 10, 1951.

Funeral services for Lt. Percival Norman Fenton Jr., formerly of Collingswood and one of eight Navy fliers killed, June 27, in a crash at Key West, Fla., will be held next Tuesday in the Naval Academy chapel at Annapolis, Md. Burial will be in Arlington national cemetery.
Lieutenant Fenton was graduated from the academy with the Class of 1946, six members of which will act as pallbearers.
After he was graduated from Annapolis, Lieutenant Fenton received his wings at the Corpus Christi, Tex., Naval Aviation School in 1949. He was co-pilot of the patrol bomber in the fatal crash.
Born in Collingswood, Lieutenant Fenton was the son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Norman Fenton Sr. His father was engaged in the insurance business here and is now an executive of a Washington D.C. insurance company.
In addition to his parents, Lieutenant Fenton is survived by his widow, Carolyn, and two sons, Steve, 5, and P. Norman 3d, eight months old.
