Biography

Oliver Robert Regn was born March 12, 1926, the son of Oliver B. Regn and Grace Smith Regn of Gibbsboro, New Jersey. His father, Oliver B. Regn, died on June 21, 1925 at age 21, when young Oliver was less than a year old. Oliver Robert Regn was raised by his mother and maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Smith, of Kresson Road and Dover Avenue in Gibbsboro. His grandfather Robert Smith, a native of Northern Ireland, worked as a watchman.

Oliver Robert Regn served as Seaman First Class in the United States Navy. Like his father, he died very young, passing away on February 23, 1946, in Gibbsboro, New Jersey, of non-combat causes. He was survived by his mother and grandmother. He is buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Gibbsboro.
