Private Martin W. Roser was born in New Jersey in 1901. He left school prior to the ninth grade. The 1930 Census shows him living in the 100 block of Walnut Street in North Cape May, NJ, where he worked as a city employee in sanitation. He was unmarried at the time.

Martin Roser apparently had moved to Camden County by the early 1940s. He was inducted into the United States Army at Camden, NJ on September 14, 1942. He was unmarried at the time of his induction.

Private Roser died of causes not related to combat during World War II.
