Private First Class Louis Di Prizito, 19, of Clements Bridge Road in Barrington NJ, was initially reported as missing in action on December 30, 1944, in France. This was later changed to killed in action, as word came back that he had made the Supreme Sacrifice on January 2, 1945 at Reyersviller, France. He was the son of Charles J. and Mary Di Prizito, who operated Charlie & Mary’s Food Market at 107 Clements Bridge Road in Barrington.

Louis Di Prizito was a graduate of Haddon Heights (NJ) High School, and had begun studies at the Drexel Institute in Philadelphia PA prior to entering the Army in February of 1944 and had been in France only two weeks when he was reported missing.

Louis Di Prizito was brought home in the spring of 1949. On June 13th of that year he was buried at Calvary Cemetery in what was then Delaware Township (present day Cherry Hill) NJ, where he rests next to his parents.
