Lawrence Lubonski

Private First Class Lawrence Lubonski was born on April 2, 1947 to Lorraine and Joseph Lubonski Sr. One of five sons, he lived in Camden and later moved to Collingswood, New Jersey. Lawrence Lubonski graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Camden, New Jersey in 1966.

Private First Class Lawrence F. Lubonski, after being drafted and receiving training as an infantryman, began his tour of duty on September 28, 1967.

Private Lubonski was killed in action on February 27, 1968 in Quang Tin Province, South Vietnam. His death was brought on by multiple fragmentation wounds. Private Lubonski was brought home to New Jersey and was buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, New Jersey. He was survived by his wife, parents, and brothers Joseph Jr., Thomas, Gerald, and William Lubonski.

He was awarded the Purple Heart. Lawrence Frank Lubonski is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 41E, Row 51.

He is buried at Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, NJ — Section M, Site 1689.
