Introduction

Private First Class Joseph J. Czempkawski was born on April 23, 1925. He was inducted into the United States Army. The Camden Courier-Post reported on September 9, 1943 that he had been accepted for military service and placed in the enlisted reserve until September 24. Private Czempkawski lived at 245 Jerome Avenue in what is now Cherry Hill NJ.

Private First Class Czempkawski died of wounds received while serving in the U.S. Army on December 3, 1944. He is honored on the Delaware Township War Memorial in Cherry Hill, NJ.
