JOSEPH HERBERT JORDAN was born on March 14, 1873. He married Josephine Lowden in the early 1890s, and the couple were blessed with a daughter, Bessie, in 1894. The 1900 Census shows the family living in Beverly, New Jersey. Joseph H. Jordan worked as a butcher to support his family.
The Jordans moved to Camden in the mid-1900s, first appearing in City Directories in 1908 at 542 North 8th Street, where they resided through 1913. The Jordans stayed at 804 Birch Street into 1920, then moved a few doors east to 812 Birch Street.

Survived by his wife and children, Joseph H. Jordan passed away on November 18, 1936. He was buried at Monument Cemetery in Beverly, New Jersey. His wife joined him in 1960.
