Introduction
Private John J. Dogostino served on the Delaware Township Police force prior to entering the Army. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Dogostino of the Deer Park section of Delaware Township, now known as Cherry Hill. He had two brothers in the armed forces, Nicholas and Angelo, and belonged to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in the eastern end of the township.
Private Dogostino served in the 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division. He died on October 22, 1944, and is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, Netherlands.
