Master Sergeant Snodgrass was a commissioned officer in World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company C, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 28, 1950. For his leadership and valor, Master Sergeant Snodgrass was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
