Introduction
Private Harry J. Park was born on June 13, 1921. His father, Lorenzo D. Park, was one of the first councilmen in the Borough of Lindenwold. Harry Park attended Camden County Vocational School in Pennsauken NJ, and was working as a welder at New York Shipbuilding Corporation in Camden when he was drafted. Inducted in May of 1944, Harry Park was killed in action while serving with the United States Army in Germany on February 12, 1945. He served in the Ardennes Forest and Rhineland battles, and was a member of Company M, 417th Infantry Regiment, 76th Infantry Division.
His death was reported in the Camden Courier-Post March 22, 1945 edition. He was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo D. Park of Laurel Road in Lindenwold; his wife, Betty Park, of 2124 North 43rd Street in Pennsauken NJ; and a two-year-old son, Ronald Park.

Services for Pvt. Harry J. Park, 23, of Pennsauken Township, killed in action at Echternach, Germany, Feb. 12, 1945, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home of Charles W. McCann, Church street, Blackwood. Burial will be in Locustwood Memorial park.
Private Park attended Camden County Vocational school, and worked as a welder at the New York Shipyard when inducted into the Army May 20, 1944. He served in the Ardennes Forest and Rhineland battles. He was a member of Company M, 385th Infantry.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Betty J. Park, who resides at 2124 Forty-third street, Pennsauken; a son, Ronald K., five years; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo D. Park, of Laurel Springs; a stepister, Mrs. Marvin Redrow, of Blackwood, and three stepbrothers, Forrest Wood, of Blackwood; Elmer Wood, of Magnolia, and Edward Wood, of Glendora.
