Biography
Corporal Harold E. Holloway was born on March 15, 1918 to William Heber Holloway and his wife, the former Dorothy Christina Volz. He lived at 130 Yale Avenue, in the Gloucester Heights section of Gloucester City, New Jersey. He was inducted into the United States Army shortly after the draft was re-instituted in June of 1940.
Harold Holloway was killed in action in France on August 26, 1944. He was survived by his parents and his wife, the former Grace Durden, of Cetto Gardens, North Carolina. Initially reported missing, his death was reported in the October 2 and November 25, 1944 editions of the Camden Courier-Post.
Corporal Holloway was brought home in 1949 and buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, New Jersey.
