Private Gildo M. Izzi, Company E, 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division, U.S. Army

Private Gildo M. Izzi was born September 25, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Izzi. The Izzi family resided at 321 Washington Street in Camden, NJ prior to his entry into the Army.

Private Izzi was killed in action in Italy on May 28, 1944. An employee of RCA before entering the Army in September of 1943, he was sent overseas in April of 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was survived by his parents and his wife Florence Izzi, of 216 Clinton Street, Camden, NJ. He is buried at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy, at Plot C, Row 7, Grave 12.
