George Gene Shecklen

Hospital Corpsman Third Class George Gene Shecklen was born in Camden, NJ on March 25, 1930, the son of George Shecklen and Jean Tait Shecklen, of Somerdale, NJ. He was serving in Korea with the 1st Marine Division. George Shecklen had boxed Golden Gloves for the Navy in 1952.

He was listed as Missing in Action while engaged with the enemy on July 19, 1953 and was presumed dead on September 20, 1954.
