Frank Hardman Mooney was originally from the Grenloch section of Gloucester Township, NJ. He was First Engineer on the freighter SS Norlantic when it was torpedoed, shelled, and sunk on May 13, 1942 by the U-69, at 12.13 N x 91.00 W, 90 miles east of Bonaire, in the Netherlands Antilles. One of seven crewmembers lost, he was survived by his wife, Elaine Mooney.
