Second Lieutenant Francis W. Clarke, 10th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Forces
Second Lieutenant Francis W. Clarke was born on September 14, 1921, to Thomas and Mary Clarke. His family lived at 441 North 39th Street in Camden, NJ. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden.
Serving as a pilot with the 10th Air Force, Second Lieutenant Clarke died on August 7, 1945, in Pandaveswar, India. He was 24 years old. He was survived by his parents and his sister, Mrs. Miriam Nelson.
Francis Clarke was brought home after the war and buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, NJ, on June 8, 1948, at Plot 2, O 361E.

Services for 2d Lt. Francis W. Clarke, son of Thomas and Mary E. Clarke, 441 North Thirty-ninth street, will be held at 10.30 a. m. Tuesday in Bethel Methodist Church, Thirty-ninth street and Westfield avenue. Friends may call Monday night at the funeral home at Thirty-sixth street and Westfield avenue. Burial will be in Beverly National cemetery.
Lt. Clarke, a pilot in the Tenth Air Force and a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High school, died Aug. 7, 1945, at Pandaveswar, India. He was 24. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Miriam Nelson.
