Master Sergeant Eugene L. Loper, 26, of 209 Rhoades Avenue, Haddonfield, New Jersey, was killed in action on February 6, 1945.

Eugene Loper had grown up in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, and was a graduate of Glassboro High School. He worked in the insurance business in Philadelphia, and had lived with his aunt, Mrs. Roscoe V. Cramer, in Haddonfield. He had entered the Army in 1941 and had seen action in the North African, Italian, and Normandy invasions.

Besides his aunt, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Rue, of 119 Palermo Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
