Camden Courier-Post, May 24, 1944 — Reesman Swears In Two City Firemen

Appointed by Public Safety Director Rhone, two city firemen were sworn in yesterday by City Clerk Reesman. They are Lugo M. Lanzilotta, 26, of 722 South Fourth street, and Charles Patterson, 27, of 909 Haddon avenue. The ceremony in the office of Dr. Rhone was attended by Fire Chief Lennox. Commissioner Rhone said both men were appointed from a certified civil service list.

Chiefs Are Appointed

Camden Courier-Post, June 14, 1966 — Chiefs Are Appointed

Promotions were made today to fill four vacancies in the City Fire Department. Director of Public Safety Keith Kauffman announced the promotion of Allen F. Hess, 40, of 3064 Mickle Street, and John Giuliano, 38, of 419 N. 38th Street, to battalion chief.

Hess was appointed to the department in November, 1950, and made captain in May, 1960. Giuliano was appointed January, 1956, and received his captain rank in July, 1960.

The new battalion chiefs replace Charles and Godfrey Patterson, brothers, who have retired.

Named to fill the vacancies created by the promotion of Hess and Giuliano are Richard Brooks, 33, of 1081 N. 34th Street, a member of the department since January, 1961, and Roy Moffa, 47, of 161 S. 27th Street, a member since November, 1950.

On September 3, 2003, age 86 of Mt. Laurel (formerly of Cherry Hill). Beloved husband of Ann (nee Picca). Loving father of Charles W. of Mt. Laurel, and Jeffrey S. and his wife Rose of Haddonfield. Grandfather of Jianna Marie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation Monday 9am to 10 at the BLAKE-DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 226 Collings Ave., Collingswood. Funeral Mass 11am Church of St. John Neumann, 560 Walton Ave., Mt. Laurel. Entombment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. The family requests memorial contributions to American Heart Association, 600 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.
