Bob Aceto

ROBERT V. "BOB" ACETO JR. was born in Camden NJ on September 16, 1945. He grew up in the Westfield Acres public housing development in East Camden.  A fine musician, Bob played guitar and sang with bands in South Jersey for many years. He cut at least one record, 45 for the Philadelphia-based Diamond Beach label entitled OLD ENOUGH, the flip side being NO ONE. He also later worked selling office supplies to commercial accounts throughout South Jersey. In his later years Bob and his wife AnnaMarie resided in Pilesgrove NJ. He was killed in an automobile accident on May 2, 2007 and was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill NJ.

Salem County resident dies when car overturns

LOGAN

A 61-year-old Salem County man died after the Jaguar he was driving ran off the road and overturned on Interstate 295 Wednesday morning.

Robert V. Aceto Jr. of Pilesgrove was declared dead upon officers' arrival at the scene as a result of injuries suffered in the crash, New Jersey State Trooper Robert Thomas of the Woodstown station said Wednesday.

Police said they were unsure why or how Aceto lost control of the car around 10:17 a.m., but he ran off the northbound shoulder of I-295 and overturned.

"The investigation is ongoing," Thomas said. "We're waiting for the toxicology report.".'

On May 2, 2007 of Pilesgrove. Age 61. Beloved husband of AnnaMarie (nee Scerrato) Aceto. Devoted father of Gina Marie Skourtis (Ralph), Lisa Marie Lee (William) and Robert V. Aceto, III. Loving grandfather of Ashley, Briana, Giana, Nicholas, Ryan and Rachel. Dear brother of Anthony Aceto and Natalie Lowe.
Bob loved his family more than words can express. He was warm, kind and loyal towards everyone. If you met him, you would never forget him. He was full of energy and life and the hardest worker we ever knew. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with the guys in the band. Most of all, he loved being a Pop-Pop to his 6 grandchildren and spending time with the family. He is living in heaven now with friends and family that entered God's Kingdom before him. We look forward to the day we are reunited with him in heaven. We love him dearly and will forever miss him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday eve 7:00 to 9:00pm and Tuesday morning 9:00 to 10:00am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00am at the Bethel Christian Center, Blackwood. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
