MCCULLOUGH COLEMAN CASE was born in Trenton, New Jersey on April 14, 1894. After serving in World War I he married. He worked as a policeman for the Delaware Valley Bridge Commission, the forerunner of the Delaware River Port Authority, as early as 1929, and was still working in that capacity as late as 1947. McCullough Case was living in Laurel Springs when the 1929 City Directory was compiled. When the census was taken in 1930 he and wife Lyndall were living on Washington Avenue in Laurel Springs with their children Richard and Warren. McCullough Case had moved to 319 North 5th Street, near his job, by 1942. However, the 1947 Directory does not list him, nor do Camden County telephone directories in 1956 or 1959. In later years he returned to Trenton, where he died in November of 1979. 1979. |

BRIDGE COP STRICKEN, CALLED HEAT VICTIM McCullough Case, Camden Bridge patrolman, collapsed from the heat late last night while walking through the Fifth street pedestrian tunnel. He was taken to Cooper Hospital and kept there overnight for observation. |
