Of Camden, NJ, on October 29, 2008. Age 57.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; six children, Isaiah (Diane), Geneva
(Shah), Jasuel, Josan, Angelica (Shaun) and Juanita; eleven
grandchildren; his mother, Juanita Pitts; three siblings, Janet Pitts
Morris, Jewell Pitts Earl and Marvin Fussell (Marsha); his
mother-in-law, Maria Figueroa; in-laws, Carmen Guzman, Maria Mercado
(Martin) and Jose Guzman (Lorraine); special niece and nephews, Jewell
J., Kenny, Kenya, Keith, Martin, Isaac and Yochabel; his godparents
Louis and Dolly Nickles; special friend, Rhoda Thomas; a host of other
relatives and friends.
Services: Thursday, 11am at the Macedonia AME Church, 3rd and Spruce
Streets, Camden, NJ, where friends may call after 9am. Interment: Sunset
Memorial Park, Pennsauken, NJ. Arrangements by CARL MILLER FUNERAL HOME,
Camden and Lawnside.
Daryl worked for me as a rookie and he sure was a handful. He drove two different training officers absolutely nuts (Ed Ingam & Dave Dorworth). We nicknamed him "E.T" and he could find more ways to get us all in trouble than we ever could have imagined. I will say that he was absolutely fearless on the street. Sometimes that's a good thing, and sometimes not, but I had a lot of respect for him in that regard. He was always there to back you up. |
